Charles selected this included tourmaline heart for the centre of his engagement ring. The flaws inside the stone give it texture and intrigue, and also, make me think of a delicious raspberry flavour boiled sweet. The three diamonds in the piece were taken from Charles' Mother's ring to keep the family significance of the piece and the other stones were selected by colour to bring out the flashes within that tasty heart. The large stone on the left hand side is a pigeon blood ruby, it was the hardest shade to choose and also, probably the most expensive stone in the piece, not that that matters at all.

To design Ronan's engagement ring he sent me a few photographs of his girlfriends ring collection and a list of her favourite colours. The centre stone is a square cushion cut tourmaline with a selection of clashing and complimentary stones growing up around her. I added one small diamond to the side as a tiny jewellery 'fuck you' to the traditional engagement ring.
Tourmaline / Ruby (both traditional hot pink and pigeon blood shades) / Madeira citrine / Sapphire / Emerald / Diamond

The deep midnight blue sapphire teardrop was chosen by Darren for Amiee's engagement ring. He must've done well as this set the theme for all the rings. We made the wedding band to fit perfectly to the engagement ring switching the metal combinations and the stones from shoulder to centre to create the matching-not-matching set. The teardrop shapes mirror the engagement ring chosen by Darren and his wedding band also has a matching teardrop sapphire set into it. The perfect set.

This ring combines all of my favourite features of stones. The opal has a smooth cabochon domed top to reveal the natural textural intrigue of the opal. Her iridescent violet glow with the natural rock texture visible inside which the crystal grew on. In contrast the diamonds surrounding her are the perfect example of precision cut flawless sparkling perfection. Together they have everything, congratulations Sarah she's a beauty.

This ring is all about echoing nature. The shoulder stones with their sparkling clarity and perfectly straight lines frame the long thin rectangle of the aquamarine crystal. The hexagonal crystal formation of the centre stone gives her a naturally art deco appearance which is played out further within the emerald cut shoulder pairing.

These two are the definition of made for each other. The claws of the wedding ring, underneath, wears her own full set diamond wedding ring. Whilst the engagement ring on top wears her own huge diamond engagement ring stacked with an extra diamond baguette ring too. Beautiful pieces standing alone, but when they come together, the create the finished design. Two pigeon claws holding the finger from each side, his and hers, in a delicate embrace. For Daniel and Sev

A huge faceted Ethiopian opal centre with a pair of the finest 'pigeon blood' shoulders to keep her company. Pigeon blood is the deepest and most sought after pink red shade of ruby, and, of course, has the best name. Diamond set antique filigree ornates the side of the ring.

This blood red garnet teardrop is one of my own pieces and I wear her everyday. The deep red stone has a large inclusion that catches the light and sparkles internally. Although inclusions are considered flaws in stones, I think they make them more interesting. It's what I love most about this piece.

Based on a traditional, single stone, solitaire engagement ring but with a bit of a twist. The first thing you notice is that diamond, just over a carat of the finest, flawless oval you can find. She might be the star of the show, but the devil's in the details. The shank is two solid gold pigeon claws elegantly curled up each side. The collect in white gold has two yellow gold prongs at the top and the bottom to show that the impossible perfection of the mount is in fact handmade. For Daniel and Genevieve.

Every stone in this piece is a sapphire. From the deepest inky blue of the love heart shoulders, to the sparkling waters of the oval centre. The bespoke internal structure is the hidden support that makes this piece possible, with the claws coming in to finish her off. The final touch of teardrop sapphires set in yellow gold on each side just warm her slightly. Thank you for your trust and your patience Danny, she is so worth it.

Moonstone is much more commonly seen in its cloudy white opaque form which makes this crystal clear beauty even more rare. She has that trademark moonstone directional flash of violet. I chose lilac sapphires to frame her to highlight the colour hiding in her ghostly hue.

MoonstoneThis piece was very hard to give back. A remake of her original opal and diamond Victorian engagement ring. The ring needed taking apart for few repairs before it could be reassembled into her new clawed home. Once I added the filigree backplate to her I noticed the prison of light I had created inside the ring. It bounces off the rose gold and back up through the opal and diamonds making the ring glow orange. Its pretty magical.

Something about the combination of a rose gold sapphire halo takes this piece back to a bygone era. Maybe its the cabochon opal, or the white gold filigree, but to me this ring is dying to be Victorian. The cabochon cut of the stone inside the halo frame makes the large ring sit flush to the finger so she's a striking showstopper, but also streamline and practical for everyday wear. It's these thoughtful touches that make designing so personal.

Salt and pepper diamonds are some of my favourites. They are grey and full of inclusions making them internally textural which contrasts beautifully when externally facetted. This rose cut cabochon centre diamond is surrounded by a rose gold halo of flawless white diamonds giving the best of both worlds. Held inside white gold claws the black pave diamond shoulders complete the holy trinity For Henry and Em J.

Did you know our eyes can see more shades of green than any other colour? This huge, pale, Colombian emerald centre stone is full of natural inclusions which catch the light and create internal intrigue. The shoulder stones are also emeralds but in the classic deep green with a truer clarity showing both sides of this stone. Finished with pave green tourmaline details to complete the range of hues.

My good friend Smell told me he was going to pop the question to Cara and the stone hunt was on. This rare deep teal green sapphire heart was in my personal collection and he fell in love with it. Set into a full diamond heart halo and inside solid 18ct yellow gold claws. Cara said yes of course!

My biggest diamond ring to date, with no competition. Brendan commissioned this showstopper for his love, Luca, to seal the deal. A huge, antique cushion cut, 2.85ct diamond is supported by a pair of the richest, shield cognac diamond shoulders. The perfectly imperfect centre with her interesting inclusions, bright white colour, contrasted with the precision cut shoulders.

This huge, flawless, blood red garnet is framed perfectly by a halo of hot pink rubies. I love clashing colours! They work because the similarities make the differences even more jarring, they play with each other. The warm yellow gold halo is held in the cool asymmetric white claws. Not for the faint hearted.
